We heard about the potential arrival of the facelifted Toyota Hilux just a week back, and actual units have been spotted on Philippine roads since then. Now, we have just received word on the possible specs, variants, and prices of the refreshed truck, and it could very well mean that a local launch is set to happen soon.
First things first, let’s talk variants. We previously mentioned that a new top-spec V variant could be made available, but it appears that the Hilux Conquest will remain atop the range. Also, according to our source, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) could be discontinuing the two G 4×4 variants and add in a new J MT variant with a 4×4 drivetrain instead.

Now on to the specs. This isn’t a full model change yet as IMV models tend to stay in the market for a decade before being replaced, but the top-spec Hilux does get some new features such as cruise control and an eight-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Other variants get a 6.75-inch touchscreen display, but smartphone connectivity will also be available.
In addition, the top-of-the-line Conquest variants will supposedly come with the new 2.8-liter turbodiesel that generates 201hp and 500Nm of torque, while others get a smaller 2.4-liter turbodiesel that’s capable of 148hp and 400Nm. Both manual and automatic six-speed gearboxes are available for either engine.
Lastly, we have the prices. We’ve been told that save for the two G 4×2 variants, TMP will be bumping the prices of the Hilux across the range. As for the Conquest variants, these can be had with an ‘Emotional Red’ exterior finish for an extra P20,000. You can check out the full price list below for more details.
