Dilworth Artisan Station Gallery Crawl at 1118 East Kingston Ave.: Dilworth Artisan Station is bringing back its popular art crawl after closing back in March due to COVID concerns. This art crawl will include works from 20-plus artists under one roof. Masks are required. Free. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Details.

Alpine Wiesen Oktoberfest Can Release at Blue Blaze Brewing: Ring in the fall season by heading over to Blue Blaze Brewing and trying their Alpine Wiesen Oktoberfest brew. The evening will also include live music from local artist Jade Moore and grub from Des Cajun Kitchen food truck. Free to attend. 2-7 p.m. Details.

Oktoberfest Märzen Lager Release NoDa Brewing Company: Oktoberfest may be canceled this year, but NoDa Brewing Company’s latest brew will give you a taste of the celebration. The brewery is releasing its Märzen Lager so you can enjoy a little bit of Oktoberfest in a can or the taproom. Free. 3-10 p.m. Details.

Cabarrus County Food Truck Friday at Gibson Mill: Head out to Gibson Mill in Concord for quite the food truck lineup. This Friday will have Plant 6 Provisions, Carolina Smash Truck, Taco Green-Go, Cousins Maine Lobster, and What The Fries. Masks are required and trucks will be adequately spaced to allow for social distancing. Free to attend. 5-10 p.m. Details.

Sunset Sessions at the Anne Springs Close Greenway: Listen to some live music outdoors — social distance style. Local pianist and singer David Shoff will be performing on The Greenway lawn. The Gateway Canteen will be open for regular dining and bar service throughout the evening. Limited to Greenway Members. Memberships are $10/month for a family and $5/month for individuals. 6-9 p.m. Details.

Labor Day Weekend at Olde Meck Brewery: Celebrate Labor Day weekend at The Olde Meck Brewery. Every day this weekend, there will be live music in the Biergarten, seasonal beer on tap, tasty food, and cornhole. Free to attend. 6-9 p.m. Details.

The Terence Young Jazz Experience at Middle C Jazz: Jam with world-renowned jazz guitarist Terence Young. Young has shared the stage with The Temptations, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, Al Jarreau, and Roberta Flack. $33 club seating, free live stream access. 7 p.m. & 9 p.m. Details.

Sweet Spot Studios Block Party at 4418 Monroe Road, Suite C: Aspiring bakers and baking enthusiasts are invited to celebrate the grand opening of Jossie Lukacik’s new Sweet Spot operations. In addition to the re-opening of Sweet Spot Studio in a new and renovated space, Jossie is also launching Sweet Spot Supply Company (a new storefront that sells baking supplies) and Sweet Spot Cookie Club (a monthly cookie-decorating subscription box). Festivities will include tours of the new Sweet Spot Studio space, an outdoor bake sale featuring seven vendors, and the grand opening of Sweet Spot Supply Co. Free. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Details.

Labor Day Weekend Lowcountry BBQ at The Ballantyne Hotel: Throughout the weekend, Gallery Restaurant at The Ballantyne Hotel is offering a special Labor Day menu that will feature BBQ pork spareribs, sweet & savory Cheerwine beef brisket, and all the “fixins”. Bohemian 1 Year Anniversary Celebration: To celebrate one year in business, The Bohemian wine bar is offering a special menu featuring specialty wines that aren’t normally served by the glass, a charcuterie board with a plethora of meats and cheeses, and a selection of cheesecake bites. Kentucky Derby Brunch Pre-Party at The Crunkleton: Head off to the races for this Kentucky Derby brunch at the Crunkleton. Yes, the annual classic horse race is rescheduled for this weekend.
