The following information is compiled from Red Bluff Police Department, Red Bluff Fire, Tehama County Sheriff’s Department, Corning Police Department, Corning Fire, Cal Fire and California Highway Patrol logs. 


Charles Drive: A stray black lab was captured around 4:20 p.m. Monday.

Corning Road: About 6:30 p.m. Monday a brown and black chihuahua mix was found near Bartels Giant Burger.


Wendell Downs: 27, of Bellevue, Washington was arrested Monday and charged with false personation. No bail was set.

Brandon Paul Orman: 29 was arrested Monday and charged with being a transient registered sex offender out of compliance. Bail was $15,000.


Paskenta, near Aloha Street: About 6:30 p.m. Monday a man under the influence with a BB gun was arrested and charged with parole violation and obstructing a peace officer.

Byron Avenue: A woman with blonde hair, wearing a black shirt and black and white shorts and riding a quad attacked a man around 7 p.m. Monday.

Beaver Lane near Hillcrest Drive: A single shot was heard around 10 p.m.

Mary Avenue, Corning: Around 10:45 p.m. a teenage boy was intoxicated and left the house naked on foot.

Schwab Street: About 4 p.m Monday a woman said her husband battered her between the 1500 block of Schwab Street and Red Bluff Gas.

Kimball Road: A man was attacked by a dog and someone threw his phone into a field about 6 a.m. Monday at the Red Bluff Meadows Apartments.

Edith Avenue: About 10:40 a.m. Monday four gun shots and screaming were heard near Safeway.


Reno Avenue, near Oat Avenue: A storage trailer was on fire about 1:20 p.m. Monday in the El Camino area. The cause is under investigation.

State Route 36E, near SR 32: A passenger vehicle fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. Monday. The cause was not determined and damage was $500.

B Street near Fifth Street: A passenger vehicle fire was reported around 5 p.m. Monday in Tehama.


South Street: About 1:15 p.m. Monday a Corning was reported missing since Friday. The man drives a white 1994 Ford Thunderbird.

Stanford Avenue: A welfare check was requested around 12:30 p.m. Monday for a neighbor who hasn’t been seen since January. His vehicle is in the driveway and the landscaping is overgrown.

Belle Mill Road: A man was seen about 2 p.m. Monday getting in and out of a vehicle belonging to a woman in the parking lot at FoodMaxx.

Molinos Avenue: After letting a woman use the phone, the woman sat in the front yard of a residence all day and refused to leave around 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Lake California Drive: A man with a backpack who had been dancing around and acting strangely was lying in the grass by the airstrip around 5 p.m. Monday.


Montgomery Road: Two people cut a hole in a fence about 1 a.m. Monday and stole a flatbed trailer from Ben’s Truck Repair. The trailer is a large two axle flat car trailer with reflective tape, a triangle tool box on the tongue and has side railings.

Rawson Road: The entire contents of a residence were loaded onto a moving truck July 26 but not delivered to a new residence in Amarillo, Texas. Attempts to reach the company were unsuccessful.

SR 32 at Slate Creek in Mineral: A cabin was reported broken into around 2:15 p.m. Monday.

SR 36W: A sand rail, dirt bike and tools were reported stolen from a shop around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Austin Lane: A boy, 16, stole $100 from his mother’s purse and ran away after being confronted around 5:15 p.m. Monday. He was wearing a blue and white shirt, blue shorts and black Vans shoes.


Sale Lane: A man forced his way into another room at the Comfort Inn about 7:45 p.m. Monday and threatened the person with a closed fist near the victim’s face.
