A Branson, Missouri, woman is apologizing after a video of her at a Black Lives Matter protest in the parking lot of Dixie Outfitters surfaced last week.In the 35-second video that went viral on Monday, Kathy Jenkins was on the tailgate of a truck with a Confederate flag attached. In the video, Jenkins says, “I will teach my grandkids to hate you all.” She later raises her fist and says “KKK belief.”Since the video surfaced, Jenkins lost her job and her house. She now says she didn’t mean what she said and that she got caught up in an angry moment.“I was mocking them because I don’t like being called a racist,” Jenkins said. “And I would never encourage anyone to hurt anyone or harm anyone.”As for the Confederate flag, Jenkins said it was handed to her at the protest and she didn’t know what it really meant. She says she’ll never hold another one again.Dixie Outfitters has been the center of recent Black Lives Matter protests in Branson. The store sells clothing and memorabilia decorated with the Confederate flag. Black Lives Matter protesters are calling for the store to be shut down, while counter-protesters support the store.
