Carmi City Council meeting recap – News – Pontiac Daily Leader – Pontiac, IL

CARMI — With only routine business to discuss, and no comments from the Public, the Carmi City Council wrapped up business with a short meeting on Tuesday.

The meeting started with the approval of the August 4th meeting minutes, the July 2020 Financial Reports for the City of Carmi and Light and Water Departments, and the August 2020 vendor invoices for the Departments. The Council then also approved the following after consideration.

– Pay request of $16,851.62 to Brown and Roberts for the Industrial Drive project.

– TIF Façade Grant to NFE Realty for the building at 203 N. Walnut.

– Accepted the bid of $3,000 from Lamont Excavating for the 1987 Ford 370 V8 Dump Truck (the highest of four bids received). This truck had previously been deemed excess property and not economical to repair.

There were no special reports from the Standing Committees and the meeting wrapped up in under 10 minutes.
