The Chuck E. Cheese in the Langhorne Square Shopping Center appears to have closed its doors.
Workers were clearing out the inside of the Middletown Township business and loading the games into a truck on Wednesday afternoon. A sign outside listed the location was “currently closed” and directed customers to the location in Warrington.
The Chuck E. Cheese website listed the location as closed.

A request for comment to Chuck E. Cheese headquarters was not returned. An employee clearing out the store directed a reporter to the main office, while another worker indicated the location has closed for good.

LevittownNow.com readers said the location was open as recently as last week.
CEC Entertainment, the owner of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper eateries, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June with the announced intent to restructure its business and work to get more favorable deals with landlords and creditors.
At the time of the bankruptcy filing, the company operated more than 600 locations.
COVID-19-related closures and mitigation measures have surely impacted family-focused business that is known for hosting birthday parties, pizza, gaming, and animatronics. The location in the Langhorne Square Shopping Center was closed between mid-March and summer due to restrictions.
