Fan-designed Mitsubishi trucks to lead England and Scotland rugby teams onto pitch


Mitsubishi Motors in the UK has launched a new ‘Lead the Team’ competition, asking England and Scotland rugby fans to design a special edition wrap for two L200 pick-up trucks which will lead the teams onto the pitch at Twickenham and BT Murrayfield during the 20/21 season. 

The brand is the current Official Performance Partner for England Rugby and Official Partner of Scottish Rugby and has challenged fans to ‘craft a design that immortalises what rugby means to them’.

The competition will ask fans to download and print the template before drawing and submitting their design before an independent panel of judges will shortlist four for each nation. 

The shortlisted designs will then be posted on England Rugby and Scottish Rugby social channels, where followers will be asked to vote for the final winners. The deadline for entries is 17th September.

“Lead The Team – Designed By Fans is the perfect way for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK to celebrate the much-anticipated return of international rugby with fans of both England and Scotland,” said Katie Dulake, GM Marketing and Communications at Mitsubishi Motors in the UK.

“We’re excited to see what our fans create and can’t wait to see the winning designs leading these great nations for the upcoming season.”
The winning designer in England and Scotland will also have the honour of riding in their nation’s newly wrapped Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck as it leads their team into the stadium at the next home fixture.
