TAYCHEEDAH – A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Fond du Lac died Friday after a crash with a pickup truck in the town of Taycheedah.
First responders were called around 6:45 p.m. Friday to the intersection of Winnebago Drive And Taycheedah Way for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and pickup truck, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the sheriff’s office, a pickup truck, driven by a 27-year-old Fond du Lac man, was traveling east and crossed over the centerline, hitting the motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet. The pickup truck driver was the only person in the vehicle and he was not injured.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash and will not be releasing the names of those involved at this time.
In addition to the sheriff’s office, the Wisconsin State Patrol, Calumet Fire Department and First Responders, Mt. Calvary Ambulance and City of Fond du Lac Paramedics also responded to the crash.
