VIENNA, VA — Greeenheart Juice Shop, a health-minded brand serving juices, cashew nut milks and food, is aiming for a mid-September opening in Vienna. The location at 208 Dominion Road NE will be the brand’s fourth Virginia location.
Greenheart Juice Shop first launched in the DC region in 2013 and has locations in Aldie, Leesburg and Middleburg. With a rotating menu based on seasonal changes in fruits and vegetables, a few of the juice options the Liquid Gold (carrot, pineapple, turmeric, ginger and pear) and Cold Brew Latte (cashew milk, Medjool dates, Himalayan pink salt and more). The juices have no added sugars or preservatives and are made with a hydraulic cold-press to produce a higher nutrient content than standard juices. Along with the drink menu, there will be healthy food options like açai bowls, fresh salads and granola medlies.
The Vienna location resulted from local demand after success with a home delivery service and at the Vienna Farmers Market. The location, near the Washington & Old Dominion Trail, was chosen based on parking access, proximity to health and wellness boutiques, walking distance to Church Street and the sense of family and community in Vienna.
“We’ve received overwhelming support and praise from Vienna residents during our stints at the farmers market and can’t wait to have a space to personally welcome all of our Northern Virginia and D.C. area fans!” said founder Alicia Swanstrom.
The brand was founded by Swanstrom in honor of her late partner Doug Green. Green was deployed to Afghanistan for his last tour in 2011 and was killed in action. Greenheart Juice Shop is a reference to the matching green heart tattoos both had.
On opening day, Vienna Mayor Lina Colbert will be on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony. Customers will get a buy one, get one half off offer in store on opening day. The storefront will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
