The following information is compiled from Red Bluff Police Department, Red Bluff Fire, Tehama County Sheriff’s Department, Corning Police Department, Corning Fire, Cal Fire and California Highway Patrol logs. 

Animals

Smith Avenue: Two goats were loose around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Dove Avenue: Dogs killed two sheep and injured another around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Rawson Road: A stray pit bull mix was found around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Washington Street: A dog bite was reported about 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Arrests

Jesse Nichole Whited: 32, of Chico was arrested Wednesday and charged with bringing a controlled substance into jail and receiving known stolen property. Bail was $15,000.

Disturbances

Interstate 5 near Gyle Road: A person was jumping into traffic and throwing trash at cars around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday before jumping onto one of the cars and getting injured.

Sister Mary Columba Drive: A woman came to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital just before 7 p.m. Wednesday injured after an altercation with her ex-boyfriend at Rancho Tehama.

Neva Avenue near Oren Avenue: A woman walking with her children around 8 p.m. Wednesday was confronted by an aggressive dog. When she asked the owner to control the dog, an argument ensued.

Solano Street: A woman was throwing things into the road about 7 a.m. Thursday near Rancho Grande.

Jefferson, near Union Street: About 9 p.m. Wednesday a man had a metal object and was trying to hit a vehicle and people.

Riverside Way: People were heard yelling for help about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday near Cornerstone Community Bank.

Fire

Canal View Road, near Troutbrook Road: The corner of a house was on fire around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday and was extinguished by the homeowner.

Missing

Alta Vista: A girl, 17, who is 5’6″ and 118 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes left a residence around noon Wednesday stating “she will do what she wants.”

Suspicious

Red Bank Road: A man with a prosthetic leg, driving a red Ford Explorer parked outside a locked gate and entered private property before being confronted by the homeowner. He left on King Road toward Red Bluff.

Kern Drive: The windshield of an RV was broken out Tuesday night while children were spending the night in it. The children said they heard voices around the time.

Solano Street: A woman was offering use of her EBT card in exchange for a pack of cigarettes about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at Chevron.

Rio Street: About noon Wednesday a man at the bus stop was yelling and stopping traffic. He was later spotted on Pine Street running into traffic.

Thefts

Paskenta Road: Firearms were reported stolen from a safe around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

South Avenue: Tools were reported stolen from a shop around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

State Route 99E: A woman was caught shoplifting from outdoor clothing racks just before 9 p.m. Wednesday at Dollar General.

Houghton Avenue near South Street: About 10 a.m. Wednesday a stolen vehicle was giving off a LoJack signal in the area of the truck stops. It was recovered at Rolling Hills Casino.

Third Street, Corning: About 2:30 a.m. Thursday a house was broken into and jewelry was missing.

Threats

Solano Street: A woman was threatened about 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Corning Smoke Shop.

Trespassing

South Main: A man and woman were picking berries at Leisure Landing about 4 p.m. Wednesday and refused to leave.

South Avenue: About 8:45 p.m. Wednesday youth at Love’s Truck Stop were walking past semis and trying door handles.
