EAST PEORIA — The westbound Interstate 74 exit at East Washington Street in East Peoria was closed Friday morning because of an accident.
About 7 a.m., a semi-trailer truck loaded with logs rolled over while exiting the interstate, according to the Illinois State Police. The truck’s cargo spilled onto the pavement.
That ramp at Exit 96 was expected to be closed for several hours while the logs were being cleared.
Westbound I-74 in that area remained open.
