Man seriously injured after crash between pick-up truck and lorry

A man in his 40s has been seriously injured after a his pick-up truck and a lorry collided.

Police closed an exit of the A16/A17 roundabout heading towards Sutterton and Swineshead after the crash happened at the junction between the B1397 and the A17 at around 5.43pm on Friday, June 5.

The road was closed until 8:15pm, with several people writing to inform Lincolnshire Live that the road was closed.

The man was left with serious injuries following the crash, but they are not thought to be life threatening.

Lincolnshire Police is appealing for witnesses of the incident to contact them.

In a statement made to Lincolnshire Live, the spokesperson said: “A collision between a pick-up truck style car and a lorry happened at the junction between the B1397 and the A17 at around 5.43pm.”

“A man in his 40’s in the car has been seriously injured. His injuries don’t appear to be life threatening.

“Any witnesses should call 101 please quoting 328 of June 5,” the spokesperson added.
