Pickup truck driver crashes into porch of Cicero home


Cicero, N.Y. — A 26-year-old man drove off state Route 31 in Cicero and crashed a pickup truck into the front of a home Monday night, Onondaga County 911 dispatchers said.

Someone called 911 at 11:16 p.m. to report a white pickup truck had crashed into a home at 6470 Route 31 in Cicero.

Cicero police, state police, South Bay volunteer firefighters and NAVAC responded to the scene. When they arrived, emergency crews found the driver conscious and damage to the front porch, according to 911.

Police requested Cicero town code enforcement because the truck had struck the porch.

NAVAC ambulance transported the driver to a Syracuse hospital, but no details were immediately available on his condition or why he crashed.
