Randolph Co. crash involving golf cart, pickup truck kills woman

An 88-year-old woman died in a crash involving a golf cart and a pickup truck Wednesday.The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Lassiter Mill Road near Burney Mill Road in Randolph County at 5:29 p.m.Click the video player above for studio coverage from WXII 12 News.Troopers said Imogene Hardister, 88, of Troy, was traveling north on the right shoulder of the road when a driver in a Chevrolet pickup truck was also traveling north.Hardister made a U-turn into the path of the truck and collided in the roadway. She was seriously injured and taken to Moses H. Cone, where she later died.The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
