CORNING — Rolling Hills Casino and Resort is giving back to the community by using its food truck to serve free lunches to medical professionals at the Rolling Hills Clinics in Corning and Red Bluff and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital.
The Rolling Hills food truck started serving lunches April 23 at the Corning clinic, said Steve Neely, general manager of the casino. During the next two days, the food truck served lunches at the Red Bluff clinic and the hospital.
Neely said the food truck served more than 100 lunches and response from the medical professionals and the public was very positive.
“We don’t have an end date at this time, but we are working to schedule more stops in the future,” Neely said.
The food truck will be serving lunches again 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Corning clinic, then at the Red Bluff clinic Friday and the hospital Saturday. The food truck is open to all hospital workers.
