HANNIBAL | The Salvation Army Family Store in the Steamboat Bend Shopping Center will be opening its doors for sales May 4, 2020.
While its hours will remain the same, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., new protocols will be followed for the safety and wellbeing of both the customers and store team members. Social distancing will be practiced and new signage has been posted throughout the store.
“One-way shopping arrows have been placed on the floor of the store aisles and signs reminding everyone to practice social distancing have been posted to the door and throughout the store as well,” said Heather Cook, the director of finance.
“The areas that receive the most traffic and areas that get touched most often will be cleaned with a disinfectant numerous times during the day,” Cook said.
The store’s donation drop-off area will once again be open as well. Anyone who wants to donate home goods, clothing, and other items may do so. The donations door is located at the south end of the shopping center’s parking lot. Donors are asked to ring the door bell, attached to the pole at the bottom of the ramp, and a Salvation Army team member will come out to assist with getting the donations.
For large quantity or item donations The Family Store truck will be in Hannibal on Wednesdays. To arrange a pick up, please call 573-248-8008 during regular store hours of 10am-6pm Monday through Saturday.
“We are blessed to be a part of this wonderful community,” said Tina Eifert, the store manager.
