Sydney couple accused of sneaking into Queensland in a truck

However, police say a 21-year-old woman from Saint Clair, in Sydney’s west, was also in the truck and did not have a declaration pass.

They were intercepted about 1.30pm Wednesday on the Bruce highway at Murrumba Downs, about 40 minutes north of the Brisbane CBD.

The male driver was also slapped with fines totally $1305 for allegedly failing to record information in a work diary and for the vehicle being over length.

A dedicated ‘F’ essential worker pass is required for freight workers to enter Queensland from any other state.

Freight workers going into hotspots are allowed to cross without going into quarantine but need to be tested every seven days.
