Food Truck event planned Wednesday in Apollo
The Wheel Good Wednesday food truck event sponsored by the Apollo Events Committee and Apollo Area Historical Society will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the old Stanford lot on Clifford Avenue.
This week’s lineup includes Main Squeeze Juice and Vagabond Tacos from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Frank’s Red Rocket, Hot Ash Pizza, Ash & Kris Kitchen, Wok on Wheels, Kona Ice and Rollin Up Ice Cream from 4 to 8 p.m.

Alzheimer’s Foundation offers free helpline
The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America is expanding the hours of its helpline to be from 9 a.m.to 9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
Families affected by dementia-related illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease, individuals living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia, professional caregivers and anyone who has questions about brain health can connect with a licensed social worker through the AFA hotline.
To connect to the helpline, call 866-232-8484, visit alzfdn.org and click on the blue and white chat icon, or send a text to 646-586-5283. Web chat and text message features can serve people in over 90 languages.
Knead Community Café seeking donations and sponsorships
Knead Community Café in New Kensington offers free grab-and-go meals on Thursdays to members of the community, regardless of ability to pay.
About 230 meals are served weekly at a cost of $2.50 per meal. Full meal sponsorships are available at $450 per week. Smaller donations are always welcome.
Any business, organization, church or individual interested in supporting the mission of the café should contact Marcie at 878-302-3270.
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank open Wednesday
The Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank will be open to anyone in need from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays at 1913 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
