TryLife Center accepting donations
The TryLife Center in Lower Burrell is accepting donations of gently-used children’s clothing in sizes newborn through 4T, maternity clothes, highchairs, pack n’ plays, walkers and infant seats.
Other items needed include diapers, wipes and bottles. Items that cannot be accepted are toys, books, games, adult clothing, children’s clothing size 5T and larger, used cribs, used car seats and furniture.
Donations should be dropped off from noon to 6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the red donation door at the center, 1155 Wildlife Lodge Road. Items left outside of these hours will be exposed to the weather.
Penn State Extension offers free webinar on camping
Penn State Extension will offer a free webinar, “Camping Adventure: A Safe Guide to the Outdoors,” at 1 p.m. Aug. 3, 10, 17 and 24 online. Choose which session you wish to view.
Families and individuals are welcome to learn how to safely enjoy camping and other outdoor activities. Topics will include food safety, cooking tips, personal safety and activities.

Food Truck event planned Wednesday in Apollo
The Wheel Good Wednesday food truck event sponsored by the Apollo Events Committee and Apollo Area Historical Society will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the old Stanford lot on Clifford Avenue.
This week’s lineup includes Pgh Crepes and Tommy’s Catering from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and DelVecchio’s Sausage and Fries, Hot Ash Doughtastic Sandwiches, Billu’s Indian Grill, Earth Wheel and Fire Pizza and Funky Monkey Donuts from 4 to 8 p.m.

Vandergrift Public Library sponsors Teen Photo Contest
Vandergrift Public Library is sponsoring a photo contest for students age 12 to 19 through Friday.
Photos will be judged in August by local professional photographers. Prize awards will be announced and there will be an exhibit in September.
