Leechburg food truck rally to raise money for new river rescue boat

Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company will host a Food Truck Rally on The River from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the fire company grounds, 268 Canal St., Leechburg.

There will be chuck-o-luck, a 50/50 raffle, a DJ, strip tickets and a touch-a-truck with units from Gilpin, Allegheny Township, Parks Township and Hyde Park fire departments and Lower Kiski Ambulance Service.

Proceeds will benefit the fund for the new river rescue boat.


Free movie in the park scheduled in Plum

A free Movie in the Park will be Saturday evening at the soccer fields at Larry Mills Park, Fontana Drive, Plum.

Gates open at 7 p.m. and the movie will begin at dusk. The featured film will be, “Sonic the Hedgehog,” rated PG. Bring a blanket or chair or sit in your car.


Free produce distribution set in Natrona

Building Block of Natrona will host its free Veggies for All and Cosmetics Closet outreach for residents in need at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 28 Garfield St., Natrona, Harrison.

Patrons should not arrive before 12:45 p.m. Free produce, and personal care and hygiene products will be distributed.

Extra hygiene steps will be taken. Income verification is not required, and everyone is welcome. Face masks are required and social distancing will be enforced.
