Will replace the Harbor Beach truck show
HARBOR BEACH — A truck caravan will drive through Huron County on June 13 in lieu of the annual Harbor Beach truck show which was canceled last month due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Robby Iseler, one of the organizers for this caravan, said the group decided to do this instead of the truck show so they can keep a distance between people and put on a show for the community.
“Right now, we’re expecting between 20 and 30 trucks,” Iseler said. “That number is expected to grow by next week.”
The participating trucks will lineup at 3:30 p.m. at Harbor Beach City Hall before driving off at 4 p.m. across the county.
While driving through the different cities, villages, and townships, the trucks will not stop. There will be a small break for the drivers while in Sebewaing, though Iseler said they may take other breaks along the way.
The order of municipalities the trucks will drive through after leaving Harbor Beach and their approximate scheduled times are:
• Ruth at 4:20 p.m.
• Ubly at 4:50 p.m.
• Bad Axe at 5:15 p.m.
• Elkton at 5:45 p.m.
• Pigeon at 6 p.m.
• Owendale at 6:20 p.m.
• Sebewaing at 7:00 p.m.
• Caseville at 7:45 p.m.
• Port Austin at 8:15 p.m.
• Kindie at 8:30 p.m.
• Port Hope at 8:45 p.m.
• Return to Harbor Beach around 9 p.m.
Once the trucks return to Harbor Beach, they will turn on their lights for a light show for the residents there.
